Innovative Feeding Technique

Feeders developed by BM are highly efficient systems. Thanks to their modular design, various configurations of the systems may be assembled. Also, a simple and cost-efficient extension is possible of supplementary components. Based on the high accuracy of feeding achieved by direct weighing by means of a high-quality steel platform weigh bin, it is possible to ensure feeding of paint and additives in the equal systems of the equipment. Standard design of the systems ensures feeding of up to 8 components in two mixers. Fast switchable and robust, pneumatic valve technology and pumps ensure a high-efficient and breakdown-safe processing. Extra sensors monitor the required external conditions, for example, air pressure, and maximal bin level. The state-of-the-art control technology (Siemens S7 compatible CPU 414, with a possibility of modem), with process visualisation industrial terminals, connection via MPI-Bus, ensure a total control, straightforward operating, and an easy connection with almost every control system. Data collection is carried out via an intelligent evaluation device with its own CPU and a 24 bit resolution! Data are loaded directly to SPS by a communication interface. Errors due to A/D or D/A transformation are completely eliminated. Weight loaded weigher calibration is not necessary any more, and the assembly is cheap and easy. Connect, press <Tara> once and the equipment is operating. Types of feeder: gravimetric 2 and 4 cylinders, load cell and volumetric 1 cylinder, special solutions.

 

Drip-safe spray systems

Media without self-cleaning (e.g. release agents)

Compact spray systems developed by BM may fit almost any equipment configuration. Generously installed pneumatic pilot control valves ensure the extremely quick and efficient switching of the highly reliable selector valves. The BM patent protected drip-safe spray system provides the basis of each installation. It provides the instantaneous pressure drop in the spray system. Check valves immediately shut directly before the nozzles; no dripping, no after spraying. Generally, you may install the equipment by yourself, which saves the unnecessary cost of assembly. The fast switch times of the valves, and possibilities of adjustment of nozzle heads (vertical, horizontal, angle, etc.) ensure the correct spraying of the required surface without the unnecessary material loss. As regards pumps, the compressed air diaphragm pumps with a pulse silencer are installed. They are pre-installed in a protected switch cabinet and ready to operate. The equipment is operated via small control systems (Moeller). They allow the input of extra parameters, e.g. switch on/off delay, maximal spray time, etc.

Media requiring self-cleaning (surface coating/delay):

Media, that is plastic dispersions, are subject to the drying process. In case of a too long delay, this would result in sticking and thus in the clogging of the nozzles. Therefore, the equipment with an extra self-cleaning possibility has been developed. After the elapse of a certain delay time, which data may be entered in the control system, the equipment is automatically cleaned either by the medium or, optional, by water. The arrangement of selector valves only requires the cleaning of the small gap in front of the nozzle followed by the washing in a little material/water. Ideally, cleaning with the medium is done during the production, and cleaning with the water is done after the production. Application: Sprayers from 200 mm -300 mm (prefabricated elements) spray range Sprayers for release agents, oil emulsions, washing agents, surface coating, feeding of delay agents, board maintenance agents, water.

Mixer control for small and medium-sized plants

A compact and very functional mixer control developed by BM, with colour industrial operating terminal, presents a cost-efficient, state-of-the-art alternative to special systems. Since all the functions are realised via the operating terminal (IP 65), there is no need for expensive wiring, keys, switches, etc. Furthermore, the control may be realised very compactly (low voltage part). The load part is installed near the mixer. Modifications in the system may be carried out in a simple and cost-efficient manner by the creation of new process images. No need for the installation of keys, lamps, etc. Special designs, for example control of automatic stacker and apron feeder inclusive packaging plant for pavement stones, are no problem. The heart of the control system is made up of a state-of-the-art Siemens S7-CPU, which is in control of all processes. The connection with the operating terminal is realised via a Bussystem. The operating terminal indicates all conditions, e.g. bin levels, open valves, worms, etc, as well as visualised graphics and texts. Error messages are displayed simultaneously with the text and, for better understanding, as graphics on the respective device. The installation as a replacement of obsolete control systems is possible, as well as the use of any existing load electronic devices (contactors, etc.).

Basic configuration scope of supply:

Remote Control Modem, 10 spare aprons / silos, 1 mixer with unloading core/attachment, 1 elevator bucket, 99 feed formulas, water feeder connection, 1 additives weigher with up to 4 components, 1 cement weigher, 1 binder weigher

 

Gravimetric self-condensing equipment of high accuracy

Thanks to the state-of-the-art weighing technique of the self-condensing equipment developed by BM, it is possible to ensure a highly accurate, cost-efficient, and independent production of the own liquid paints for concrete (slurry) with absolute reproducibility. Because of its modular design, the system may be assembled in many different configurations. The system consists of 4 basic components: 1. The weigher platform with capacity of up to 2,000 kg. 2. The agitator with capacity of up to 1500 dm³ (litres). 3. The motor powered dissolver with a Big Bag attachment. 4. The control system (compatible with Siemens S7) for the control of up to 8 agitators and for the control of up to 99 formulas; with process visualization, of course.

Operating principle: The formula is planned, and selected. The two level feed process is started via the <Start> key. 1. Level: water feed. Then the required condensation additive is fed. Only 93% of the required formula quantity is fed. Advantage: if there is not enough pigment in the Big Bag, it is not necessary to add more by hand! The motor is started. The operator is requested by the control system to add the pigment. The design allows an almost dust-free feeding! Once the pigment is added, the control system calculates the addition of additives and water according to the actually added quantity of the pigment, so that the solid matter share is always correct. In this way it is possible to have a continuous and uniform paint quality. 2. Level: The newly calculated quantity of water and additives is added. After that, the mixing time is started according to the formula setting. When the mixing time is up, the paint is finished and ready for use.

Equipment configuration:

Example 1: One dissolver, one weigher platform 4 agitators (max. 8). Each agitator may be used as a spare container for the paint on the existing feeder (4 colours).

Example 2: 6 complete self-condensing plants (max. 8). The agitator with a pump is, in the same time, a spare container for the feeder.
